When Katie stayed at Casa Lawa, she was first able to sleep on Tekla Sheets and use Tekla Towels and Robes. It was love at first sleep/dry off/touch! We have long admired Tekla from afar from a design and sustainability perspective, but seeing it in use in a hotel setting, standing up to rigorous washing and heavy use and maintaining color vibrancy, absorbency, and softness only cemented our decision to bring this line into our assortment.  We are one of the only US Retailers of Tekla and the only one in Maine, come by and check it out for yourself! We stand by it.

Tekla pieces are made to last. However, a little goes a long way when it comes to properly caring for your towels. By following these simple care instructions, your pieces will last longer and cause less impact on the planet.

  • Wool has natural anti-bacterial and odor resistant properties so doesn’t require washing often
  • Dry clean or wash by hand in cold water only when necessary
  • Shake and air out between use
  • Spot clean stains as soon as possible
  • Air dry on a flat surface to prevent shrinkage and stretching

About Tekla:

Established in Copenhagen in 2017, Tekla was born from a desire to bring modernity and freedom of expression to the homeware category. Taking inspiration from art and architecture, most notably John Pawson, Donald Judd, Le Corbusier and Agnes Martin, it creates elevated yet functional homeware pieces that center a timeless, straightforward design expression.

Since launching, Tekla has embodied an honest commitment to uncompromising quality, which it continues to build on through close collaboration with its production partners. As a brand, it recognizes its responsibility to mitigate its impact; it rejects rapid trend cycles by designing for longevity and producing responsibly. Tekla holds B Corp certification, joining a global movement of people using business as a force for good.

With a foundation in bedding, the full collection now comprises pieces for the entire home, including towels, sleepwear and kitchen linens – all made to be lived in and made to last.
